CD controversy dampens Anna Hazare's fire for justice?

Shanthi Bhushan has been quoted as saying on the taint against him, "We have subjected this CD to forensic examinations from two forensic labs specialising in audio analysis, one based in US who is an expert in acoustic phonetics. Both these labs have confirmed with detailed spectrography analysis of multiple gaps and electronic editing in critical places".
Bhushan also claims that the doctoring was the handiwork of none other than Amar Singh. Prashant Bhushan also reiterated his father's stand and commented, "How come the conversation that Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh had in 2006 is the same as the one in the new CD that some sections of the media have released?"
The Bhushans have cried fowl at the attempt to tarnish their personal image and that of the drafting committee and have even alleged that the accusations have been made with the help of those in the government. He also claimed that this was an attempt to divert attention from the 2G probe. It has to be noted that Amar Singh had filed a complaint claiming that his phones were being tapped, that gives meat to the argument.
The CD controversy has, however not affected Anna Hazare, the star crusader in any way and said that there was no need for Shanthi Bhushan to resign from the Lokpal Drafting Committee. The Bhushans will file a contempt petition in the Supreme Court on Monday.
