Maya asks officials to implement regular welfare schemes

Lucknow, Apr 17: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has directed officials of the state government to regularly implement and monitor various welfare schemes.

"Timely implementation and regular monitoring of various schemes launched by the state government should be done so that people get maximum benefit," Mayawati said in directives issued to the departmental heads.

The CM has directed that shortcomings detected during her surprise inspections should be ratified and departments should release financial sanctions on time.

All construction works related to roads, sewers, bridges and electrification should be completed before the monsoon season, she said.
