West Bengal poll goes bloody; CPI(M)-TMC in blame-game

The ruling party, CPI(M) claimed that Mamata Banerjee's party members attacked CPI(M) cadres led by Politburo member Brinda Karat in Cooch Behar on Friday, Apr 15.
However, Trinamool supporters rejected all allegations and instead alleged that CPM supporters burnt down their party office and attacked their activists. Both the parties have lodged police complaints against each other.
Karat on Saturday, Apr 16 lodged a complaint with the election commission against the Trinamool Congress. Another complaint has been filed at the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police office about Friday's clash and inadequate security arrangements.
