Will throw Akali regime out of power: Congress

Punjab, Apr 14: Voicing confidence that it will win the Punjab Assembly elections, due early next year, Congress today said the party will throw the "corrupt" Akali regime out of power to ensure proper development and welfare of the state.

"We are certain that Congress will be voted back to power in the Punjab Assembly elections...Akalis has lost confidence of people as they have not done anything during the four years of their rule," Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Amarinder Singh told a rally here.

He said if voted back to power, Congress will repeal sale of Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences to a private party.
