RSS fully backs Hazare's agitation

New Delhi, Apr 9: In growing support to Gandhian Anna Hazare's fast-unto-death for a comprehensive Lokpal Bill, the RSS on Friday, Apr 8 said that it fully backed the agitation led by the veteran activist for a tougher anti-corruption law.

"The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh fully backs the anti-corruption fast unto death started by Anna Hazare. A letter of support was given on behalf of the organisation's general secretary Suresh Joshi to Hazareji today," RSS Secretary Vaghesh Issar said here.

Senior functionaries of the organisation including Ram Madhav marched to Jantar Mantar, the ground zero of the protest that began four days back, met 71-year old Hazare and handed over the RSS letter of support.

Hazare's agitation has received unprecedented support from different sections of people ever since it began on Apr 5. Over the days, the number of organisations, associations, religious sects, individuals from all walks of life and even politicians pledging support to the anti-corruption agitation has has increased manifold.
