BJP expresses solidarity with Anna Hazare

Kolkata, Apr 8: The BJP today (Apr 8) expressed solidarity with social activist Anna Hazare in his crusade against corruption and said the Lokpal Bill should have teeth to fight the menace effectively.

"We support those fighting corruption and also welcome a Lokpal Bill with teeth to check the menace effectively," BJP MP and national spokesperson Syed Shahanawaz Hussain said here.

"The Bill should be very stringent and effective to combat corruption," he said.

Attacking Congress, Hussain said the party has "maligned the image of politics in the country. We had demanded in Parliament that action should be taken to recover black money. But no major step has been taken so far."
