Tit for tat: Now, AIADMK takes on DMK man Stalin

Jayalalitha, AIADMK chief
Chennai, Apr 8: The Tamil Nadu state politics is witnessing a tough time when everyone is busy to mar the opposition parties' image ahead of the assembly polls on Apr 13. The two main parties in the state - DMK and AIADMK have always felt the wrath of each other. Now, it seems that the ball is in AIADMK's court to hit Karunanidhi's party men.

The election commission, recently, issued notice to AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa and DMDK supremo Vijayakant based on DMK's complaint alleging violation of election model code of conduct.

Now, taking the revenge partially, AIADMK filed complaint against DMK leader and deputy chief minister MK Stalin. Jayalalithaa's party man claimed that Stalin's remark on Jayalalithaa was "malicious and was beyond all limits of decency."

Quoting Stalin from a Tamil daily, the complainant stated, "as the AIADMK chief was not married and so was not interested in funding other women's weddings."

However, DMK had also claimed that Jayalalithaa and Vijayakant made defamatory remarks against Karunanidhi's family and filed a complaint against the Opposition leaders. Though the Opposition leaders approached the EC and managed to get some extra time to respond to the queries raised by the EC.
