Sony unveils five Xperia Play games in Android Market

New York, Apr 3: The official launch of Sony Ericsson Xperia will be announced soon as its creator Sony unveiled five exclusive games for this PlayStation certified gaming phone. All the new five games are available for download in Android market.

The games which can be played on Xperia Play are Syphon Filter, MediEvil, Cool boarders 2, Destruction Derby and Jumping Fish. These games are originally developed for PlayStation One. Notably, Google has deleted an unofficial PlayStation emulator from the Android Market.

Sony Ericsson announced Xperia Play, which runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, at 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This gaming phone has a 4-inch capacitive multi-touch display with 480x854 pixel resolution and a slide out gaming pad with control and navigation keys.

Xperia Play is powered with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and boasts dual cameras, a 5.1 megapixel at rear and a front-facing VGA camera that supports video calling. Other features on the phone include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 400 MB internal memory that can be extended up to 32 GB using micro SD cards and Adreno 205 GPU acceleration.

Sony Ericsson has not yet revealed the launch date and price of this phone. Any how, the online retailer Flipkart listed this mobile for pre-ordering with a price tag of Rs 32,000. We can expect more exclusive games for this smartphone.
