No ban on public screening of Indo-Pak match: UP Police

"We have issued alert keeping in view tension that may erupt while watching the match in public places due to exchange of comments. However, no ban has been imposed on public viewing of the match. The decision in this regard has been left on local administration," Special DG (Law and Order) Brijlal told reporters here.
He said Special Task Force of the state police has also been alerted to take action on bookies.
Orders have also been issued to keep adequate forces at public places to thwart any untoward incident.
