MMS scandal rocks Arunachal Pradesh; ASI accused
The accused police officer, Boham Bo is an ASI in the Daporijo Police Station who apparently forced a minor boy and girl into a sexual act which was filmed by him.
The scandal was brought to the notice of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) who have constituted an enquiry committee to probe into the gruesome act perpetrated on the girl. Meanwhile, the Arunachal Law Students" Union has slammed the shameful act calling it the “black day" in the history of Arunachal Police.
The police officer is absconding and is yet to be arrested according to Apur Bitin, Superintendent of Police. The other accused who was part of the crime, Duyu Tatu is missing as well.
Apur Bitin gave a statement on the case and said, “Police is trying best to arrest them. But we also appeal to the public to share information if anybody has any idea about their whereabouts. We have issued a fresh non bailable warrant against all the accused from the office of chief judicial magistrate, Daporijo. Besides taking action under various provision of law, departmental disciplinary action will be taken against them."
