CWG 2010
New Delhi, Mar 29: The high-level Shunglu committee has blamed CWG Organising Committee and certain officials for delay in executing contracts for the games.

In its recent report submitted to the Prime Minister's Office, the Committee is understood to have stated that there were indications of "collusive/partial bidding" and "manipulation of documents" in floating tenders.

The Shunglu panel has also questioned ''delays'' in executing number of contracts, sources said.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had on Oct 25 appointed a high-level committee under the chairmanship of former Comptroller and Auditor General V K Shunglu to look into alleged corruption and managerial lapses in conduct of the sporting extravaganza held here between Oct 3-14 last year.

The Shunglu Committee had on Jan 31 submitted its first report on alleged irregularities in awarding broadcasting rights during the mega event and recommended strict action against suspended Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharti B S Lalli and former Director General (Doordarshan) Aruna Sharma under relevant sections of IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act for their alleged acts of omission and commission.

In its second and third report on Games Village and City Infrastructure respectively, it has named Delhi Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit for alleged inadequacies.
