DMK's shame enhances: After Khushboo, MP Rithish Kumar held
Ahead of the crucial assembly election in the state, when all parties are busy in delivering the best to win the hearts of the people, MP Rithish Kumar's news posed as a major setback for M Karunanidhi led DMK. Police arrested five other DMK workers.
Cases under various sections of IPC, including criminal intimidation, prevention of atrocities against SC/ST people and obscene acts were charged against Rithish Kumar and five detained persons.
This is not the first time when any DMK leader has been arrested. Recently, the star attraction of the party - actress Khushboo was also booked for violating poll codes. Two cases were filed against Khushboo. However, the main trouble for Karunanidhi's party had started from A Raja. Raja, the main accused in 2G spectrum scam, was the former telecom minister and a prominent leader of DMK.
Meanwhile, extending DMK'a tautness, an opinion poll conducted by LensOnNews.com, showed that the main opposition party AIADMK with its allies will win a tally of 144 seats in the 234-member assembly, well above the half-way mark of 117 seats.
The poll also suggested that DMK will end up with 88 seats. The result of the opinion poll may jolt the people's faith on DMK and spoil the enthuse of the party workers morally.
