Aarushi murder twist: Talwars threatened to kill Hemraj?
Hinting at the lifestyle of the Talwar couple, Hemraj's wife stated, "My husband told me on the phone, about 15 days before his murder that Rajesh and Nupur Talwar had become suspicious of him. Even Rajesh's brother, Dr Dinesh Talwar, used to be suspicious of my husband whenever he came calling at the Talwars' residence."
"They asked Hemraj if he had leaked any of their family matters to anyone, to which Hemraj replied that he also had a family and would not do such a thing," Hemral's wife added.
Then she stated, "My husband told me that all the three doctors then warned him that they would kill him if he leaked any of their family matters. That was my husband's last phone call to me."
The widow now moved the Ghaziabad court and filed a plea against the Talwars accusing them of the murder of Hemraj.
14-year-old Aarushi Talwar was found dead at her Noida home on May 16, 2008. Initially the needle of suspicion was pointed towards Hemraj, Talwar's servant. But soon Aarushi's parents came under the scanner when Hemraj's body was found on the terrace of the Talwar's residence on the next day.
Earlier this year, the Talwars who had been pronounced accused in the Allahabad High Court got a breather from the Supreme Court when it stayed the criminal proceedings against them in the controversial case of the murder of their daughter Aarushi Talwar and their house help Hemraj.
