Hemraj's wife adds new twist to Aarushi murder
According to a report shown on the CNN-IBN, Hemraj's wife has said that the Talwars used to make threatening calls to her husband and suspects that they might have murdered him.
She has filed a plea against the Talwars on the same grounds.
14-year-old Aarushi Talwar was found dead at her Noida home On May 16, 2008. Initially the needle of suspicion was pointed towards Hemraj, Talwar's servant. But soon Aarushi's parents came under the scanner when Hemraj's body was found on the terrace of the Talwar's residence on May 17, 2008.
Earlier this year, the Talwars who had been pronounced accused in the Allahabad High Court got a breather from the Supreme Court when it stayed the criminal proceedings against them in the controversial case of the murder of their daughter Aarushi Talwar and their house help Hemraj.
Though the court did not give them a clean chit in the case that has been grabbing headlines, the charges against the parents had let to a new twist in the case. Pinaki Mishra, lawyer for Talwars said, "Supreme Court has stayed the order of the CBI court until further hearing. The court has asked them to surrender their passports on Monday."
The apex body has in effect quashed the order passed by the Allahabad High Court according to a bench comprising Justices B Sudershan Reddy and S S Nijjar who revealed that the couple cannot be arrested.
