Veteran Journalist P Sreedharan passes away

Thrisur, Mar 24: Veteran journalist and writer P Sreedharan passed away after a brief illness here early today. Sreedharan (72) is survived by wife, a son and daugter, family sources said.

He joined the Express Malayalam daily published from Thrissur (now defunct) as sub-editor in the 1950s and retired as its Editor-in-Charge, after over 30 years of service with the newspaper.

His important works are P Sreedharante Thiranjudutha Lekhanangal, Nambiar (founder editor of the Express Daily) Pinneyum Munnil, Akavum Puravum and an anthology of poems Puli Thinna Pullu.

He had bagged the Kerala Press Academy's Puraskar for his overall contribution to journalism and literature.
