Download & watch HD movies with Intel Insider processors

Mumbai, Mar 24: One of the leading chip makers in the world, Intel has announced the launch of a second generation processor called Intel Insider, an exclusive feature that allows users to download the HD movies right to their laptops or computers before its release.

The Intel Insider, which is embedded in Sandybridge processor, powers the laptops and PCs to deliver High Definition (HD) videos. With the Intel Insider, users can watch their favourite movies in HD at their homes.

The 'Proactive Queue' feature in the Intel Insider will help consumers pre-download films ahead of the release date, and give them the ability to purchase those films, securely, even if they are not connected to the Internet, a report said.

"The launch of Intel Insider in India is absolutely befitting considering it is the home of one of the largest film industries in the world, Bollywood. With Intel Insider, people can watch their favourite movies in HD at their homes on the day of release itself," Shivakumar, Intel's Managing Director, South Asia said.

Shivakumar added that PCs and Laptops with the Intel Insider processor would be available in India by Apr 2011.
