Capture & watch 3D videos on HTC Evo 3D glassless smartphone

California, Mar 24: The Taiwan based smartphone maker HTC has announced the launch of its first glassless 3D smartphone, HTC Evo 3D. This Android smartphone captures photos and videos in 3D and the users can view them without the glasses.

The new HTC Evo 3D mobile has a 4.3-inch 3D LCD screen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Evo 3D runs on Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system powered with 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It offers 1 GB RAM and an onternal memory of 1 GB that can be extended up to 32 GB using micro SD cards.

The dual 5 megapixel colour camera with dual power LED flash at rear is capable to capture 2D photos up to 5 megapixel resolution and 3D photos with up to 2 megapixel resolution. There ia a 1.3 megapixel camera at front for video calling on 3G network.

This new 3D smartphone is packed with HTC Sense UI and Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate. Other features on HTC Evo 3D include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Stereo FM radio and SRS virtual surround sound.

HTC claimed that Evo 3D mobile will offer talk-time up to 450 minutes and a standby time uto 355 hours. HTC has not yet announced the official price and release date of Evo 3D smartphone. This mobile will compete with LG Optimus 3D, which was unveiled at 2011 Mobile World Congress. Stay tuned for more updates.
