Amazon Android App Store opens with free Angry Birds Rio

Seattle, Mar 23: Amazon has launched their brand new Amazon App Store, a dedicated application store for Android devices. As an introductory offer, the new Amazon App Store offers Angry Birds Rio for free download.

Amazon App Store helps the customers to discover, test and buy Android apps. The new App Store provides new feature called 'Test Drive' that enables customers to test apps on a simulated Android phone. Customers control the app through their computer using a mouse. So, before buying any app, users can test drive this for 30 minutes.

Another offer is that the new Amazon App Store will provide a paid app for free every day. During its launch day, Amazon offers Angry Birds Rio for Android for free. Angry Birds Rio features the animated stars of the studio's upcoming motion picture, RIO, debuting in theaters worldwide on Apr 15, 2011. Angry Birds Rio will launch with 60 dedicated levels, with more content to follow via app updates.

The Amazon App Store features popular Android games like Pac-Man, Doodle Jump Deluxe, Evernote, WeatherBug Elite, Zagat to Go, TweetCaster Pro, popular version of the Angry Birds game and more.

Customers can shop in the Amazon Appstore from computer and Android smartphones or tablets after installing Amazon Appstore application. The Amazon Appstore also has popular Amazon features like personalized recommendations, customer reviews, and 1-Click payment options.

Customers can choose the apps after reading the detailed product descriptions, including screenshots and video content that shows apps in action. Amazon claimed that they have tested all apps before they're made available in the Amazon Appstore.
