Tata enters top 50 global brands; RIL slips from 108 to 133

The contribution from the India brands to the global league table has increased by as much as 26 percent over last year, as the Brand Finance reported on today (Tuesday, Mar 22). Tata group's brand value is pegged at $15.08 bn.
However, Reliance lost its position to 133 from 108 with a brand value of $6.99 bn. The list also sees three new Indian entrants - Indian Oil, Bharti Airtel, and Wipro Technologies, at ranks 232, 282 and 474 respectively.
While Reliance, Bharat Petroleum and ICICI Bank have slipped from their previous year's positions, only Tata, State Bank of India and Infosys have bettered their rankings.
