Drunkard son beats father to death for resisting alcohol

Dehra Dun, Mar 22: A man allegedly beat his father to death and dumped his body in a sewage pit at Mukteshwar area of Nainital district, police today said.

Deepa, wife of the accused, told police that Narayan (44), an alcoholic, got angry when his father stopped him from drinking on Feb 27.

Infuriated, Narayan beat Dhan Singh (68) to death and hid his body in the sewage pit of the house for around a month. He also threatened Deepa of dire consequences if she tells anybody about the incident. Police has registered a case against Narayan and is looking for him.
