Google TV Remote app available for iPhone, iPad & iPod

California, Mar 20: Google announced the launch of Google TV Remote app for Apple iOS devices. The new app will work on Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch with iOS 3.0 or higher versions.

Using the new Google Remote app, users can change the channels or access the DVR using mobile phone or other devices. The new voice search facility on the app helps the users to search their favourite programmes and movies by just talking to the phones.

The new app provides navigational keys, a mouse pad and other buttons with different functions. Unlike the normal remotes, the back light function helps the users to use this app even in dark. Google claimed that the new app is compatible with all Google TV devices and it's very simple to set up.

Earlier in Dec 2010, Google released the Android version of Google TV Remote app. The new iPhone app is available for a free download via the iTunes App Store.
