2G report filed; Raja, telecom companies to be chargesheeted

New Delhi, Mar 16: The investigative agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday, Mar 16 filed the status report of 2G spectrum scam. CBI sources claimed that the agency will charge-sheet former telecom minister A Raja and other telecom companies.

The final report on the second generation telecom scam will be submitted in the Supreme Court on Mar 29, CBI sources informed.

Raja and two telecom companies will be charge-sheeted by Mar 31. CBI sources claimed that criminal conspiracy and forgery case will framed against the former telecom minister.

Previously, Oneindia reported that an exclusive court will hear the cases of the second generation telecom scam.

Following New Delhi High Court's order, a high-level meeting was held in the past few days, chaired by Chief Justice Dipak Misra, to set up an exclusive court for the 2G cases, sources reported.
