Verizon to begin HTC Thunderbolt 4G sale on March 17

New York, Mar 14: A Tweet from an HTC employee revealed the launch date of HTC Thunderbolt 4G mobile in United States. According to the tweet, this powerful smartphone will be available on Mar 17 through Verizon.

The Tweet from the HTC employer Imran Shahid reads, "Are you ready to call down the HTC Thunderbolt? The first 4GLTE Smartphone on the Verizon Wireless network is launching on March 1t7h! Yes!!." Later the Twitter account has been suspended. We can expect the official confirmation from Verizon on HTC in coming days.

HTC unveiled the Thunderbolt smartphone during the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This new smartphone has a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen with 800x480 pixel resolution. Thunderbolt runs on Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and is powered with 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

HTC Thunderbolt offers a 8 megapixel camera at rear with LED flash at rear. It also supports 720p HD video recording for extra clarity videos. Another VGA camera is located on the front panel to offer video calling feature.

This HTC smartphone boasts HTC Sense 2.0 UI with new features including Fast Boot. It is also equipped with Dolby and SRS surround sound for maximum multimedia entertainment. Other features on the phone include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, DLNA sreaming etc.
