ND Tiwari compelled to face DNA test;paternity to be proved?
Tiwari moved the Supreme Court objecting a DNA test after New Delhi High Court previously ordered the Congress leader to undergo the test.
31-year-old Rohit Shekhar had earlier came up with a tale in which he claimed that he was Tiwari's son born to Congress activist Ujjwala Sharma. Shekher also demanded a declaration from Tiwari about his paternity.
Tiwari began neglecting him and his mother after 1995 and refused to meet him after becoming the Uttaranchal Chief Minister, claimed Shekher. Rejected by Tiwari, Shekher then wanted a DNA test to confirm his biological father.
However, the Congressman maintained that he never had "any relationship" with Ujjwala.
The Supreme Court, however, said that the test report would be kept in a sealed envelope and also informed the Congress leader that the test would be conducted as per Tiwari's preference.
