TN: Buses goes on strike as woman slaps conductor

The altercation took place over return of balance of rs two following which the woman allegedly slapped the conductor with her slippers after he threw a two rupee coin at her, officials said. The TNSTC crew then resorted to a flash strike and a road blockade in front of the bus stand.
They demanded an apology from the woman and also police action against her. Police and revenue officials rushed to the spot and conducted talks with the TNSTC crew and the woman. The strike was subsequently withdrawn. Traffic was disrupted for over two hours.
