Rahul Gandhi cleared off sex scandal

Samrite had also filed a habeas corpus petition accusing Rahul of raping a girl from Amethi and also alleging that he held the victim and her parents in detention since 2007. The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court dismissed the petition and has slapped a penalty of Rs 50 lakh against Samrite to be paid to three parties.
The verdict was pronounced by a division bench comprising Justice Uma Nath Singh and Justice Satish Chandra. The girl and her family who were produced in court denied all allegations.
The court ordered that Rs. 25 lakh be paid to the girl, Rs. 20 lakh to Rahul Gandhi and Rs. 5 lakh to DGP Karamvir Singh for producing the girl in court within the time-frame before the judiciary. The said amount needs to be deposited within a one-month period with the Registrar of the Court.
The girl's identity was framed and facts twisted to implicate Rahul Gandhi.
The court also ordered a CBI probe against the petitioner, Kishor Samrite and websites that had reported the incident and others who had plotted the conspiracy against Rahul.
