Sony Ericsson Xperia Play landing in Apr @ 34,000
Citing some "trusted sources", technology blog AndroidOS.in reported that Sony Ericsson plans to launch the Xperia Play smartphone by Apr end. Before that, Indians can taste the other Sony Ericsson smartphones like Xperia Arc and Xperia Neo. The report also added that the price of Sony Ericsson Xperia Play would be around Rs 34,000!
Mean while, Sony Ericsson has teamed up with Major League Gaming to deliver an ever refined gaming experience on the device. According to the new alliance, Xperia Play will be equipped with MLG Pro games. Each MLG Pro Circuit event will offer product demonstrations, game challenges etc.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has a four-inch capacitive multi-touch display that supports FWVGA 480x854 pixel resolution. It has a slide-out gaming pad which provides gaming control keys, selection buttons, a directional pad and a touch pad. This new handset runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS powered with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Other features on Xperia Play include Adreno 205 GPU, TimeScape UI and 5 megapixel camera at rear. The connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB 2.0.
