Glitch fixed, Microsoft resumes Samsung WP7 update
The software giant Microsoft said that the engineering team have solved the issue, which affected only a small percentage of users. Many Samsung users complained that the update process of Windows Phone 7 OS was either bricked or unable to install the update.
Microsoft said that apart from the technical issue, many of the users faced failure for updating the Windows Phone OS due to a bad Internet connection or insufficient computer storage space. Officials cliamed that their preliminary internal data showed 90 percent of people who"ve received an update notification have installed the new software patch successfully.
"During the past week the engineering team has pinpointed and fixed problems that were preventing a small percentage of Windows Phones from installing the February software patch. We apologize again for the delay and continue looking for ways to improve the update process," said Microsoft's Micael Stroh through Windows Team Blog.
