California, Mar 4: The internet giant Google said that the problem with their popular email service Gmail has been solved and lost data for more than 500,000 Gmail users have been restored.

"The problem with Google Mail should be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better," Google wrote on the Apps Status Dashboard, which helps users keep track of how Google services are working.

The glitch happened on two days back which lead to the loss of data from Gmail accounts. Many users found that mails in Inbox have been vanished and some of them were unable to login to the account. Other complained of vanishing mails, contacts and folders.

Later Google blamed a storage software update behind the technical glitch. Google immediately stopped the deployment of the new software and reverted to the old version. Google apologized to the users and told that the problem would be solved soon.

If you find the problem still with your Gmail accounts, let's know through your 'comments.'
