RIM to launch BlackBerry Messenger for Android,iOS

The latest bruit news on the launch of BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS gained momentum amidst the rumors of BBM 6.0 launch with the upcoming BlackBerry OS 6.1 Evolution update. It is believed that, RIM plans to roll out the BBM in other platforms to face the huge competition from other apps like WhatsApp and Kik messenger.
Some sources reported that RIM may not give all facilities for the Android and iOS BBM app. It may allow users to send messages and mails, but may not offer other services like photo and video sharing or the location based features.
RIM keeps tight lip over the rumors and denied to comment on the status. Hopefully, we can expect BlackBerry Messenger on Android and iOS platforms later this year, but no details on the exact price and release date. Stay tuned for more updates.
