Maruti Suzuki sells 1,11,645 cars in Feb 2011

Mumbai, Mar 1: Largest car maker in India, Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 1,11,645 vehicles, including 10,102 units of exports, in Feb 2011.

Maruti Suzuki marked an increase of 14,995 sales in Feb 2011 when compared to the sale of 96,650 vehicles in Feb 2010. Also, in Feb 2011, the company sold 1,01,543 units in the domestic market, up 19.8 per cent over corresponding month in 2010.

Maruti recorded a growth of 19.4 per cent in A2 segment, 27 per cent in A3 segment and 26.9 per cent in C segment.

In Feb 2011, Maruti Suzuki launched the Super Turbo Diesel SX4. During the month, company also launched the Luxury Sporty Kizashi sedan. The Kizashi units despatched in Feb are display / test drive vehicles for dealers. Deliveries of Kizashi to customers will begin in Mar 2011.

The sales figures for February 2011 are as under:
* Total passenger cars - 87851 (Feb 2010-11) -73812 (Feb 2009-10)
* Domestic sales - 101543 (Feb 2010-11) - 84765 (Feb 2009-10)
* Export sales - 10102 (Feb 2010-11) - 11885 (Feb 2009-10)
* Total sales - 111645 (Feb 2010-11) - 96650 (Feb 2009-10)
