Youth dies after being stuck in lift

New Delhi, Feb 27 (PTI) A 22-year-old man died in asouth Delhi apartment today after he got stuck in a lift whichhad developed technical problems, police said.

The incident was reported at around 11 am from theapartment complex in R K Puram where senior bureaucratsreside. The victim has been identified as Haider Ali, whoworks for Swastik company.

Ali was on top of the lift, which had developed sometechnical problems, when the incident took place.

"He was on top of the lift which was on the fourthfloor. Suddenly, the lift came down. He was stuck and historso was severed," a senior police official said.

Fire brigade and police officials were informed.

"The lift was cut and Ali''s body was taken out. He wasrushed to AIIMS Trauam Centre where he was declared broughtdead," the official said.
