Three killed in road accidents

New Delhi, Feb 27 (PTI) Three persons, including aa student, were killed in separate road accidents in theCapital, police said today.

A 35-year-old housewife identified as Geeta Devi wascrushed to death by an unidentified vehicle in Narela ataround 2 PM. She was returning home after visiting a doctorat Raja Harishchandra Hospital along with her friend andwas crossing the road when she was run over.

Geeta lived with her husband, Ram Swaroop, and threechildren in Narela.

A 26-year-old insurance company employee, Ritesh, waskilled on NH-24 in Gazipur area last night when a speedingcontainer hit his motorcycle from behind.

Ritesh was rushed to a nearby hospital where he wasdeclared brought dead, a senior police official said. Riteshhailed from UP''s Allahabad.

In another incident, a class XII student Rahul waskilled when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Gazipurlast evening.

Rahul was on his way to his home in New Ashok Nagarafter attending tuition, police said. Hew as rushed to LalBahadur Shastri Hospital where he died during treatment. Hisbody was sent for autopsy, he said.
