TDP forces adjournment in AP Legislative Council

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (PTI) The Andhra Pradesh LegislativeCouncil was adjourned for fifteen minutes today followingvociferous demands by Opposition TDP members to discuss thealleged irregularities in investments in the media group ownedby former Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The TDP members led by Opposition leader Dadi VeerabhadraRao cited press reports and sought debate on the issue.

However, ministers V Vasanthakumar and K Parthasarathipointed out that it is not the right time to discuss the issueand that the concerned parties were not present in the House.

However, the TDP members continued to raise the demandprompting Council Chairman A Chakrapani to adjourn the Housefor fifteen minutes.
