Sectarian tension in Baramulla town
Srinagar, Feb 27 (PTI) Sectarian tension today grippedKunzar area of Baramulla district following desecration of areligious book for which one person has been arrested.
Two youths allegedly desecrated a holy book in Kunzartown on Srinagar-Gulmarg road, 35 kms from here, this evening,official sources said.
The rival group torched a residential house buttimely action by police and fire brigade department preventedthe fire from spreading to nearby buildings, the sources said.
They said police have arrested one Farooq Ahmed Waniand started searches to nab the other accused Tariq AhmedShiekh, a resident of Handwara in Kupwara district.
Senior officials of the district are monitoring thesituation, the sources added.
