Electronic equipment seized from passenger
Chennai,Feb27 (PTI) Electronic equipment valued at over Rsone crore in the International market was seized and oneperson arrested in this connection,a top Directorate ofRevenue Intelligence official said here today
"Our officers seized the electronic devices including still,video and digital cameras after intecepting a vehicle whichwas coming out from the Air Cargo division last night", DRIAdditional Director General C Rajan told reporters here.
On checking the vehicle, they found electronic equipmentvalued at Rs 1.11 crore without proper documents,he said.
The driver was identified as Ramesh who had arrived fromSingapore, Rajan said, adding,he was working as a manager in aprivate export-import firm in Chennai.
