Couple nab snatcher
New Delhi, Feb 27 (PTI) A couple today managed to catchone of the two men who allegedly snatched their belongings atknife-point while they were travelling in an auto here.
The incident took place on the ITO bridge in centralDelhi at around 10.20 am, police said.
The couple -- Paramveer and Sangeeta -- boarded the autofrom New Delhi railway station for Sundernagar in east Delhiafter reaching here from Agra.
The auto driver told them he could give them a discounton fare if they allowed some other passengers to board thethree-wheeler.
"Two passengers boarded the auto. However, when the autoreached ITO bridge the duo flashed knives, threatened thecouple and asked them to hand over their belongings," a seniorpolice official said.
The official said the auto was stooped and then argumentensued. The couple managed to catch one of the allegedsnatchers, who was later identified as Md Toshi.
The other person managed to flee the spot with thecouple''s belongings.
Police said they were investigating whether the autodriver was anyway linked with the snatchers.
A case of snatching has been registered and efforts areon to nab the absconding culprit.
