Boy lynched for ''stalking'' girl
New Delhi, Feb 27 (PTI) A 14-year-old boy was beaten todeath by a group of people allegedly for stalking a girl insouth-west Delhi, police said today.
The incident took place in Bindapur last evening and thevictim has been identified as Prashant, a Class VIII studentof a government school. He resided in Prampura village inUttam Nagar.
Police had initially received a call that the boy hadmet with an accident but when they reached there, they couldnot find any evidence to suggest so.
"His injury marks did not suggest that he had met withan accident. He was bleeding from the nose and was taken to alocal hospital from where he was shifted to Mata Chanan DeviHospital," a senior police official said.
He died early this morning.
Eye-witnesses told police that the boy was stalking agirl and was lynched by the locals for this reason.
The official said they were investigating the case andfour youths were being questioned in this connection.
