Student crushed to death by a tractor

Patna, Feb 26 (PTI) A student was today crushed todeath by a tractor near Machua tola in Patna district afterwhich a mob set on fire the vehicle to protest against theincident, a police official said.

Ten-year-old Debanshu was crushed under the wheels of thetractor while he was on way to his school, Danapur policestation in-charge P.K. Singh said.

He died during treatment in a hospital, Singh said.

The irate locals set on fire the tractor and severelybeat up the driver, the police officer said, adding that thedriver was also taken to hospital where his conditionwas stated to be serious.
