MP to take out peaceful march against menace of dacoits
Dausa(Rajasthan), Feb 26 (PTI) Dausa MP Kirori Lal Meenahas accused the police of failing to check the menace ofdacoity in Dhaulpur and Karuli districts and has decided totake out a peaceful protest march.
"A peaceful five-day rally of villagers, against thealleged inaction of the police in tackling the menace, willstart from March 1, from Biloli area of Dhaulpur in which morethan 15,000 villagers including women of the affecteddistricts will participate" Meena said.
"Dhaulpur and Karuli districts of Rajasthan, adjacent toUttar Pradesh, are famous for stone cutting and export.
Poor labourers from both districts earn their living throughthis profession.
"However, dacoits have made their lives tough and theyregularly extort money from them. Dacoit Bhanvar Meena and hismen extort money and kill lobourers at their will" MP toldPTI.
"On April 24, 2010 three youths were kidnapped and laterkilled by these dacoits as they resisted the extortion demandmade by them and registered a complaint against them" Meenasaid adding that one more person, Banti was killed on January30, 2011 by them for resisting their demand.
