J-K Govt allots Rs 6.89 lakh for expansion of Dastageer Sahib
Srinagar, Feb 27 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir governmentwill spend Rs 6.89 crore for expansion of the popular shrinecomplex of ''Dastageer Sahib'' here.
"Rs 3 crore has been released till December 2010 andRs 65 lakh were utilised on the project so far," an officialspokesman said, adding that Rs 6.89 crore is being spent onthe extension of shrine complex.
The shrine of Dastageer Sahib is located inSrinagar''s old city.
The spokesman said that Rs 5 crore have been earmarkedfor rehabilitation programme of the residents whose houseswill be dismantled in the expansion process.
"Any house owner who dismantles his house within 15days would be paid five per cent more than the assessmentprice," he said.
