Four persons arrested for trying to kill wild boar
Berhampur (Orissa), Feb 26 (PTI) At least four personswere arrested while laying livewire to kill wild boars atKarjibanjar jungle in Ganjam district, police said.
The arrested persons belonged to Dakarabadi village.
Their plan to kill animals came to light when aperson was electrocuted after coming in contact withlivewires spread in the area. Another person who was injuredwas admitted to the Buguda hospital, police said.
Police claimed the arrested persons had confessedthat they were laying the livewires for the poaching of wildboars.
Three days back the Kabisurya Nagar police hadarrested at least three persons from Arjunapalli jungle, whenthey were on their way to hunt wild boar in the forest.
