Chargesheet filed in court against VC

Gaya, Feb 26 (PTI) The police today filed a chargesheetin a court in connection with a case registered by Bhojpurisinger Devi against the vice-chancellor Jai Prakash NarayanUniversity Dinesh Prasad Sinha alleging misbehaviour by him ata stage show last week.

Investigating officer and Bodh Gaya police stationin-charge T N Tiwari in the chargesheet submitted before thecourt of Chief Judicial Magistrate Ram Sevak Narayan Pandeyfound the charges against the VC as true, city superintendentof police Ratnamani Sanjeev said.

Devi, a popular Bhojpuri singer, had alleged that Sinhabehaved with her indecently at a stage performance in BodhGaya on February 18 and filed an FIR against Sinha undervarious sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Senior Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar had directedBodh Gaya police station in-charge to investigate the matter.
