Truck mows down a student

Begusarai, Feb 26 (PTI) Angry villagers and students setfire to a truck and blockaded Barauni-Begusarai road after astudent returning home after appearing for a paper in theongoing matriculation examination in Bihar was run over by atruck at Thakurichawk crossing in Begusarai district today.

Police said the mishap occured when the truck driverlost control over his vehicle and ran over the student.

At this angry villagers and students came ou to theroad in large numbers and took away the body beforelaunching their protest.

Sadar SDO Kumar Anuj and SDPO Vivakanand rushed to thespot and prevailed upon the protesters to withdraw roadblockade, the police added.
