Somnath''s condition improving: doctors

Kolkata, Feb 25 (PTI) Former Lok Sabha Speaker SomnathChatterjee''s health condition improved today after he wasadmitted to a city nursing home with complaints of respiratoryproblems yesterday.

"Somnath Chatterjee is progressing fast and he ismuch better today," manager (Administration) of Belle Vueclinic P K Tondon told PTI.

He said that doctors were satisfied with the progressmade by Chatterjee, an asthma patient, though he was still inthe Intensive Thoracic Unit and under observation.

"I think not before Tuesday or Wednesday, he will bedischarged," Tondon said.

Chatterjee (81) was brought to the city from hisSantiniketan residence where he was taken ill.
