Rawalpindi, Feb 26(ANI): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Pakistan has dismissed an appeal for shifting the case of suicide attacks on former president Pervez Musharraf to a military court.

Musharraf's counsel had filed a petition seeking the transfer of the case to a military court, the Daily Times reports.

The ATC judge Akram Awan rejected the petition and remarked that the law had no provision to transfer the case to a military court.

The court adjourned the hearing until March 8 after directing the petitioner's counsel to present further evidence in the next hearing.

The prosecution had asked a trial court to transfer the case of the two accused arrested for carrying out twin suicide attacks on Musharraf to a military court. The military court had already sentenced eight men to death for planning the suicide attacks on Musharraf, in which 15 people were killed on December 25, 2003. (ANI)
