Computerisation of records at PF office completed
Coimbatore, Feb 25 (PTI): Computerisation of records ofmembers data at the Regional Provident Fund office here hasbeen completed, according to a top official.
The status of claims submitted by members was being sentthrough SMS and settlement amounts credited electronically totheir bank accounts, M P Varghese, Regional Provident FundCommissioner said during an interaction last evening withmembers of Southern India Mills Association here.
Varghese asked PF members to avail the facility byproviding their mobile numbers and core banking accounts withIFSC Code of the Bank.
The Regional office is in the process of modernising thepublic relation office, with air conditioned, fitted with LCDdisplay and touch screen kiosk to facilitate enquiries withregard to the claim applications, he said.
The office recently launched a dedicated website throughwhich employees and employers could know their applicationstatus or the remittance details, he said.
