CM inaugurates IISC''s Talent Development Centre
Chitradurga, Feb 26 (PTI): Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappatoday inaugurated the Talent Development Centre hereestablished by the Indian Institute of Science (IISC), thecountry''s premier scientific research institution.
Yeddyurappa said the 21st century belonged to India and hisgovernment had accorded top priority to education, stepping upbudgetary allocation during 2011-12 from 12 per cent to 25 percent.
The IISC has been allotted 1,500 acres at Challakere toestablish its second campus outside Bangalore.
The government has also sanctioned another 4,550 acresof land to Defence Research Development Organisation,Indian Space Research Organisation and Baba Atomic ResearchCentre at Challakere to establish their research units, hesaid.
