Three arrested for withdrawing money from elderly man''s ATM

Jhansi, Feb 25 (PTI) Three persons, impersonating as bankemployees, were today arrested for allegedly withdrawing overRs four lakh from an elderly person''s ATM card here.

Gagan Tiwari, Rohit and Vishal were arrested forwithdrawing over Rs four lakh from the account of Anand MohanSrivastava by using his ATM card, Senior Superintendent ofPolice Satish Ganesh told reporters here.

He said that the victim left his ATM card in his coat,which he gave for washing to Gagan.

Gagan and his friends later, posing themselves asbank employees, extracted the ATM code from the victim andwithdrew over Rs 4 lakh from different ATMs in Jhansi andAgra.

The police also recovered over Rs 3.5 lakh cash fromthe accused.
