Small sugar advances on mild buying

Mumbai, Feb 25 (PTI) Small sugar prices edged up futherat the Vashi wholesale market here today on mild retail buyingsupport.

Meanwhile, medium sugar variety ended steady in theabsence of any worthwhile buying.

Small sugar quality (S-30) gained by Rs five perquintal to Rs 2,811/2,850 from Thursday''s closing level ofRs 2,811/2,845.

Medium sugar quality (M-30), however closed unaltered atRs 2,831/2,921 per quintal.

The following are today''s closing rates per quintal, withthe previous rates in brackets:

Medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,831/2,921 (Rs 2,831/2,921) and Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,811/2,850 (Rs2,811/2,845).
